Maple Cinnamon Nut Butter

I made some raw nut butter today. Well, the maple syrup and the roasted cinnamon are not raw, but the nuts are. You can modify this recipe any way that you like. It’s a basic nut recipe that could be used with any nut and any type of seasoning. I chose Brazil nuts and hazelnuts for my nuts and maple syrup with a dash of cinnamon as my seasoning. This nut spread can replace the peanut butter on your sandwiches or it can be eaten with apples (or…anything, really!). It’s even great on its own! When it came out of the food processor, it was a little warm since it was blending for a while and it was so delicious. I think I’m going to make a peach cobbler with this nut butter incorporated into the crust.. Anyways, here’s the recipe. I hope you enjoy.

•1 1/2 cups of mixed Brazil nuts and hazelnuts.
•3 tablespoons of maple syrup
•1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
•1/2 teaspoon sunflower oil

Blend everything together in food processor for about ten minutes or until you get the texture of store bought nut butter. You may need to push down the nuts from edges from time to time. That’s it! Such an easy recipe for such a delicious thing!
