Dear old friends and new ones,

My name is Kelsey and I’m from a little mountain town in the foothills of the Appalachian hills: Ellijay, Georgia.  I’m currently 23 with an itch to see the world and do exceptionally neat things. Although I romanticize the greenery of the east coast to great extent, I would love to live out in the wild west some day. I day dream of travels with a warm beverage in hand and some good ole comfort food to get me goin’. My fellah of almost 9 years makes me grin everyday from ear to ear. Together, we have two amazing, codependent pups. We adopted Kodiak (we believe she is a boxer-pitbull, although her adoption papers say bullmastiff-german shepard) when she was 5 months old (now 3 years old) at our local humane society and we adopted Missy (pug-pekingese mix) this past May of 2014. I couldn’t imagine the person I’d be today if it wasn’t for the love that Joe, Kodiak, and Missy all constantly give.

I love to cook (a lot), go on adventures, and love on my cutes. I am a creator of sorts and I love to write. I am a journalism major (concentration: print media) and I will be graduating in the spring of 2016. I currently reside in the city for school, and although I wouldn’t exchange my experiences that I have had for anything, I’m anticipating the day that I get to be surrounded by a rural environment yet again. That being said, my main motivation is to someday be self-sustainable with a tiny farmhouse, beautiful piece of land, and a large garden. I currently have an urban garden that is growing in size everyday. I just want to grow more and more veggies and fruits!

This blog is dedicated to those who aspire to be healthy, get some holistic tips, and enjoy the outdoors just as much as I do.
